Manulife International Youth Rugby 10s Tournament
Dear gentlemen of rugby,
The Manulife International Youth Rugby 10s Tournament will be held this Saturday (Dec 1st) at the Singapore Polo Club fields (Mount Pleasant Road) - See map
We will be taking part in the under-13s (Sec 1), under-14s (Sec 2) and under 16s (Sec 3 and Sec 4) categories.
Transport to the tournament will be provided. The bus will leave school at 11.30am. So assemble at the Foyer by 11.25am.
Since the Singapore Polo Club is a huge compound, we need to sort out some admin matters
Firstly, the under-13s will be playing at Pitch 1; the under-14s will be playing at Pitch 10 and the under-16s will be playing at Pitch 13. Each age-grade team will be playing a minimum of two 1o-a-side matches before proceeding to the knockout stages. The first set of matches are expected to kick off at 1.30pm for lower sec and 12.30pm for upper sec.
To help the teachers identify the Montfortian players [the Polo Club is huge...trust me], please wear your Montfort Rugby T-Shirt at all times. A detailed kit list and instructions will be issued to all of you after Thursday's training session.
The tournament is expected to end at around 5.30pm. Transport back to school is provided.
Mr Singh (HP: 94505434) will be the contact person on match day. If your parents have any questions, feel free to call either Mr Vincent Toh, Mr Vincent Yong, Miss Diane or Mr Singh.
Do encourage your parents to pop down to the Polo Club. I am sure they will enjoy the matches on show.
I have included maps of the Polo Club and the pitches below:

Training During November & December 2007
Training will be highly intensive for the final two months of the year. As players, you realise that we need to be in the best physical, mental and spiritual condition so that we can capture a Top 4 position in either the B Division or C Division tournament next year.
With that goal in mind, training during November and December will be on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (except on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day).
All training sessions will start at 9am, unless we have a morning away game against an opponent like ACS (I), SJI etc which then will require us to report to school at 7am for transport to these friendly matches.
All training sessions / matches are expected to end by 11am unless stated otherwise.
Always assume that training is on. The teachers will never cancel training even if it rains. During wet weather, training will shift indoors to the Foyer.
If in doubt, contact Coach Kelvin or Mr Jasbir Singh (@94505434)
